Technically equivalent to the IS: 5986 standard for hot-rolled HSLA (High Strength Low Alloy) steel, BSK 46 is engineered for performance. It features a maximum Carbon Equivalent (CE) of 0.41, calculated to ensure optimal weldability and strength. Mechanically, these plates deliver a Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) of 500 MPa, a Yield Strength (YS) of 640 MPa, and a minimum elongation of 21%, providing the perfect balance of toughness and flexibility for complex industrial forming.
